Nesta quarta-feira (21), Lorde lançou o single “Stoned at the Nail Salon”. A faixa pertence ao álbum ‘Solar Power’, que será lançado no dia 20 de agosto.

Lorde faz sua primeira performance de “Solar Power” no The Late Show

Nesta quarta-feira (15), Lorde apresentou pela primeira vez seu grande sucesso de verão “Solar Power” no The Late Show, de Stephen Colbert. Na performance, ela se encontra usando seu característico outfit amarelo para essa era e passeando pelo enorme palco. A banda acompanha vestindo tons de creme e laranja, para contribuir na paleta amarelada bastante veraneia. E por fim, centenas de bolhas de sabão são lançadas ao palco fechando a impecável apresentação.

“Solar Power”: Hit de Lorde ganha mashup com single de George Michael

A capa do novo single de Lorde, deu o que falar. Mas, além disso, os fãs notaram a semelhança de ‘Solar Power’, com “Freedom ’90” de George Michael e “Loaded” da banda Primal Scream. Então, foi feito um mashup incrível, que viralizou na web.

Recentemente, em entrevista para divulgação do single, a cantora revelou que entrou em contato com Bobby Gillespie, vocalista do Primal Scream:

“Ele foi tão adorável com isso, ele ficou tipo: ‘Essas coisas acontecem, você pegou uma vibração que nós pegamos anos atrás’. E ele nos deu sua bênção. Então, que fique registrado: ‘Loaded‘ é 100% o plano original para isto, mas chegamos a ele organicamente. E estou feliz por termos conseguido”.

Já se tratando de George Michael, a cantora recebeu uma declaração no site do cantor, que morreu em 2016.
